Care that makes room for you.
Evidence-based psychiatric care for adults across Arizona, from a Flagstaff practice that takes time to understand the whole person — without rushing you through a system.
Care shaped around the whole picture.
Flagstaff Psychiatric Care was founded in 2026 to bring evidence-based, locally informed psychiatric care to northern Arizona and beyond. You are more than your symptoms or diagnoses — which means medication alone is rarely the only answer. That’s why I focus on the whole person. In addition to your mental health, I’ll help you attend to your physical, social, financial, and professional well-being.
Medication conversations
Thoughtful evaluation and medication conversations that make room for your questions, preferences, and the full context of your life.
Ongoing psychiatric care
A steady place to return to as you notice changes, make decisions, and build a care plan at a pace that feels manageable.
A second perspective
Bring a diagnosis, treatment plan, or unanswered question for a careful conversation and another point of view.
Perinatal mental health
Certified support for expecting mothers and those navigating the postpartum period — a uniquely vulnerable stage of life.
Quiet attention. Clear next steps.
“You do not have to make your experience smaller to make it understandable.”
Your first appointment
Initial evaluations are approximately 60 minutes long and begin with learning about your life story. Some of what I ask may feel unrelated to why you’re seeking care, but it helps me build a full picture of you as a person — not just a list of symptoms.
If I ask about something you’d rather not discuss, just let me know; we’ll set it aside and move forward. If I say something that doesn’t make sense, please ask me to explain further. This first session is as much a conversation as it is an assessment — I’m here to help you, and that starts with getting to know you.
Follow-up appointments
Follow-up visits are 30 minutes and give us dedicated time to check in on how your medications are working, any side effects you’ve noticed, your symptoms, sleep, and daily habits — so we can keep your care on track together.
Two requirements for our sessions
Stable internet connection. For telemedicine appointments, a reliable connection is required to ensure we can communicate clearly throughout the session.
You must be stationary. We’re unable to continue an appointment if you’re in a moving vehicle, even if you’re not the one driving.
One small step is still a step.
Send a request with as much or as little detail as feels comfortable. The practice will follow up to talk through availability and what you need.
Request an appointment
A brief note is all that is needed to open the conversation. Please do not include urgent or highly sensitive details in this form.

Will I be expected to take medication if I schedule an appointment?
Not at all. I fully agree that not everyone needs psychiatric medication, though I’ve seen it help thousands of patients over the course of my career. My approach is straightforward: if medication is indicated, I’ll recommend it; if it isn’t, I won’t prescribe it. You’re always in control of that decision.
What if you don’t take my insurance?
Yes. Services are available on a self-pay basis if I’m out of network with your insurance. I’m happy to provide a superbill after each appointment that you can submit to your insurer for possible reimbursement, though reimbursement isn’t guaranteed and depends on your specific plan.
Are appointments in person or online?
I primarily see patients via telemedicine, with some in-person office availability throughout the year. For telemedicine visits you’ll need a stable internet connection, and you must be stationary — appointments can’t continue from a moving vehicle, even if you’re not the one driving.
